Credit Cards

  • We accept payment by Dankort, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
  • A fee may apply to foreign credit cards in accordance with current regulations.
  • We reserve the right to pre-authorize your credit or debit card prior to your arrival.

Payment

  • When staying at Skovshoved Hotel, the room is settled at check-in along with any known charges, such as upgrades or early check-in. If your stay has already been paid for at the time of booking, only any additional services during your stay will be charged.

  • All stays require the registration of a credit card, even if you are using a gift card. No payment is taken when entering your card details. All stays are settled at the hotel.

Guarantee of Your Stay

  • We do not require any form of prepayment or deposit. However, a room reservation must always be guaranteed with a valid credit or debit card (card number and expiry date). If this has not been provided by 11:00 a.m. the day before arrival, the reservation will be cancelled and therefore no longer valid.

Cancellation of Stay

For rooms booked directly through Skovshoved Hotel, the following terms apply:

  • Cancellation of 1–2 rooms can be made free of charge until 2:00 p.m. the day before arrival. Cancellations made after 2:00 p.m. the day before arrival will be charged 100%. All cancellations must be made in writing to reception@skovshovedhotel.com.
  • Your credit or debit card will only be charged in the event of a no-show or a cancellation made after 2:00 p.m. the day before arrival. In both cases, we will notify you before charging the amount.
  • For cancellations of 3 rooms or more, please refer to our cancellation policy for groups, meetings, events, and functions.

Extra Bed in the Room

  • An extra bed can be arranged in selected rooms.
    Extra beds must always be pre-booked and cost DKK 350 per night.

Add-ons to your Stay

  • It is possible to purchase additional services for your stay. For example, you can rent bicycles, bathrobes, and beach towels, as well as order various beverages and snacks. Please contact the reception the day before arrival to arrange a little extra indulgence for your stay.

Dogs and Pets in the Room

  • Pets are not allowed in the rooms, regardless of size.

Allergies

  • All our duvets and pillows are hypoallergenic. Please inform us of any allergies prior to your stay if there are special considerations we should be aware of.

Check-in & Checkout

  • Check-in is available Monday to Saturday between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., and Sunday between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. For later check-in, please contact the reception at +45 39 64 00 28 or reception@skovshovedhotel.com.
  • Check-out is at 11:00 a.m. on all days.

Reception

Registration Card

  • Upon arrival at the hotel, you will be asked to complete and sign a registration card and, upon request, present valid ID. This is in accordance with Danish law.

Free WiFi

  • We offer free wireless internet throughout the hotel.
  • You can connect by selecting ‘SkovshovedHotel’ as the Wi-Fi network and logging in with the password ‘Skovshoved123’.

Accessibility for the Disabled

  • Skovshoved Hotel is located in a historic, older building. Therefore, we do not offer wheelchair-accessible rooms.
  • Please note that there is no elevator in the hotel.

Smoking

  • Smoking indoors is not permitted.
  • In the event of smoking in the room, a cleaning fee of DKK 2,000 will be charged.
  • Smoking is allowed in all outdoor areas, including balconies, but only with the balcony door closed.

Parking

  • Skovshoved Hotel offers a spacious parking area with capacity for approximately 25 cars. Parking is free for hotel guests.
  • If the parking lot is full, you can also park on Strandvejen or Kystvejen near Skovshoved Harbour, located 100–250 metres from the hotel.
  • We also offer two electric vehicle charging stations from Clever. Please inform us in advance if you would like to reserve a charging point.

Breakfast

  • Breakfast is served in the restaurant Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
  • Non-resident guests are also welcome to enjoy breakfast; please book a table by contacting the reception directly.

Restaurant Skovshoved

Lounge

  • Our cosy lounge is open from 7:00 a.m. to midnight (Sunday until 4:00 p.m.). Here you are always welcome to enjoy beer, wine, coffee or tea.

Roomservice

  • Room service is available, subject to a service fee.

Skovshoved Kro

Taxi

  • We are happy to assist with taxi bookings during your stay. Dantaxi offers a special fixed rate to the airport. Please contact the reception for booking.

Public Transport

  • Right outside the hotel, bus 23 runs directly to the city centre of Copenhagen.
    The nearest train stations are:
    • Ordrup Station (1.5 km from the hotel) with S-trains to Copenhagen
    • Klampenborg Station (2 km) with S-trains and regional trains

Bike Rental

  • The hotel offers bike rental for either half or full days. During the summer months, electric bikes are also available. Please contact the reception for more information.

Bathing Jetty & Beaches

  • Across from the hotel, you’ll find a jetty, where early risers enjoy a refreshing morning dip before breakfast. To the south lies Charlottenlund Beach Park, offering a bathing establishment, beach, and green areas. If you prefer soft sand between your toes, head north to Bellevue Beach, with fine sand, beach volleyball, and a charming beach café.

Running & Walking Routes

  • There are many beautiful running and walking routes starting from Skovshoved Hotel. Maps of the local area are available at the reception.
