Welcome to a modern version of a romantic seaside hotel with over 350 years experience in excellent service. Skovshoved Hotel is located on the old part of Strandvejen (the old coastal road), only seven kilometres from Copenhagen, and only a stone's through away from the sea, beach and sunbathing opportunities.
The Hotel is surrounded by historic Fishermen houses, not far from Dyrehaven (Royal Hunting Grounds) with its forest and open fields. You can enjoy the area by bicycle, on foot or in a horse-drawn carriage. This natural preserve has an abundance of wildlife, including 2000 herds of deer. Dyrehaven was started as far back as 1231 and fenced to a wild park with wild deer by king Fredrik III in 1669.
The hotel was purchased in Spring 2003 by Tofa and Ivan Nadelmann, who completely refurbished the building with deep respect for its history and natural charm. You will often be welcomed by hotel owner Tofa Nadelmann when you arrive to the reception.
The hotel is an architectural pearl build in 1660 uniting the past and present. A haven for newly-weds, demanding tourists and discerning business travellers. The Hotel and surroundings is perfect for business and pleasure.
